MAAO Scholarship Fund

1. Be a current member of MAAO with a minimum of three consecutive years membership,
2. Demonstrate a desire to improve assessment education and administrative standards, and
3. Submit the required application form to be received by the MAAO Education Committee within 60 days prior to, but no later than 60 days after, qualifying educational course work.

Scholarship Conditions:

1. Qualifying educational course work is defined as granting a minimum of 15 hours assessment or appraisal studies by which a letter or certificate of completion can demonstrate examination success and the assignment of full credit. Continuing Education Units for licensure renewal do not meet the scholarship conditions.
2. Recipients will receive scholarships after fulfilling application requirements and conditions. An accurate accounting supported by receipts and crediting must be presented before cash disbursements will be made. Only the costs of course tuition and materials qualify for award consideration.
3. A course of instruction outline, as well as the name of the school or sponsoring organization, must be submitted with the scholarship application accompanied by a copy of the letter or certificate of both course and examination success.
4. Scholarship recipients are ineligible to apply for another award for two years.
5. Successful applicants who subsequently decline the scholarship must reapply for future consideration.
6. Applicants must certify that no other tuition or course materials reimbursement has been awarded, nor will be sought, from any other source (e.g., county, state, local jurisdiction, or other educational or professional body).
7. An application must be submitted with an original signature.
